Patna: The Bihar government has increased dearness allowance and two percent by giving a gift to Diwali to government servants and pensioners. Here, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers, headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, dearness allowance was increased from seven percent to 9 percent. This increase will be effective only from July this year. After the cabinet meeting, Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Sanjay Kumar told reporters that in the meeting of the Council of Ministers, a total of 25 proposals were approved. He said that in the meeting, it has also been decided to give benefit of Family Pension Scheme to widows and divorced women in Bihar.
It will benefit women of more than 25 years of age. In the meeting, sanctioned transfer of Rs.13 crore 50 thousand rupees to Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Limited from the tourism department of Hotel Pataliputra Ashok, Patna of India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., New Delhi and also sanctioned transfer was sanctioned.
